So what's so great about a career in technical recruitment then?
- Salary: the earnings potential that recruiters have is not only unlimited, but puts you in a position where you completely control the amount of money you make: or, to put it simply - the more you put in, the more you get out. Idealpeople recruiters can earn £30,000 in year one, £45,000 in year two and £60,000+ in year three and onwards, with no caps and no strings.
- Autonomy: yes, you'll have a manager, but essentially you're in charge of your own workload. You'll receive training and support, but the most successful Consultants condsier themselve to be running their own business.
- Challenge: We hear the line "I want a new challenge" from thousands of people every year. Working in recruitment provides a challenge from the off - and it's ever evolving. You'll be contstantly developing relationships with clients and candidates, and managing expectations during what is a very sressful and important thing for anyone: finding a new job.

What kind of career path can I expect?
We hire people from outside the industry into two positions at Idealpeople: Lead Associate or Consultant, depending on your background. The job descriptions for these roles are below.
